Castelcivita is a little
picturesque town on the hills of the south of the
Alburni ( a mountain chain).
The town
presents itself as if part of the mountain rocks and it
has a cascadeof houses.

f is situated 587
metres above sea level.The town is
characterised by numerous historical landmarks, among
these the predominant symbol is the Angioina Tower built
in the XVIII century.
The
beautiful church of S. Cono must be visited. This church
dates back to 1400; the church of S. Nicholas, which
dates back to 1600.
The old town is characterised by
its winding streets which entwine among themselves and
there are numerous stone stairs. A
few kilometres from the inhabited area you
will find the Pestano or Spartaco bridge.
The most enchanting
thing about Castelcivita is the uncontaminated nature
which surrounds it.

he clear waters
of the River Calore and the secular trees that
delimit it attract the tourist to take a long,
enchanting walk.
Another tourist
attraction are the green tops of the Alburni mountains.
